CODA Requirements: Wilson College of Textiles
Requirements and preferred qualifications to transfer (as a current NC State student) into specific Wilson College of Textiles majors are listed below. This includes students who desire to change their major, as well as those who want to add a Textiles major.

Wilson College of Textiles Requirements
Students must meet the listed “Minimum Requirements” in order to submit an online CODA application to transfer (see CODA Application). These requirements must either be complete, or the courses in progress, at the time the application is submitted. Candidates who meet the preferred qualifications outlined below have a higher probability of being approved for transfer. All admission is competitive and based on space availability in the specific program. Meeting the preferred qualifications does not guarantee admission to the desired major.
For students interested in any Wilson College of Textiles major, it is advisable to take T101 to be more certain of that interest. If you have questions about transferring to programs in the Wilson College of Textiles, contact the Academic Programs office:

Department of Textile Engineering, Chemistry, and Science
NOTE: The requirements listed below must either be complete, or the courses in progress, at the time the application is submitted. End of current semester grades will be included in the application review.
POLYMER AND COLOR CHEMISTRY (BS):
Minimum to apply and be considered:
- Completion of 12 or more NC State graded credit hours
- Cumulative GPA must be 2.4 or better
- Completion of CH 101 & 102 AND MA 131 or MA 141 with grades of C- or better
Preference will be given to students who meet the following:
- Cumulative GPA of 2.6 or better, or
- Completion of PCC 101/104 AND PCC 106 with a grades of B- or better
TEXTILE TECHNOLOGY (BS):
Minimum to apply and be considered:
- Completion of 12 or more NC State graded credit hours
- Cumulative GPA must be 2.4 or better
- Completion of CH 101 & 102 AND MA 131 or MA 141 with grades of C- or better
Preference will be given to students who meet the following:
- Cumulative GPA of 2.6 or better, or
- Completion of TT 105 (Textile Technology) with a grade of B- or better
TEXTILE ENGINEERING (BS):

Department of Textile and Apparel Technology and Management

FASHION AND TEXTILE MANAGEMENT (BS):
Minimum to apply and be considered:
- Completion of 12 or more NC State graded credit hours
- Cumulative GPA must be 2.6 or better
- Completion of MA 131 or 141 or CH 101 & 102
Preference will be given to students who meet the following:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better, AND
- Completion of MA 131 or 141 AND CH 101 & 102
Admission will be dependent on cohort space at the time of application.
FASHION TEXTILE AND DESIGN (BS):
Minimum to apply and be considered:
- Completion of 12 or more NC State graded credit hours
- Cumulative GPA must be 2.6 or better
- Completion of MA 131 or 141 or CH 101 & 102
Students interested in transferring to Fashion and Textile Design must submit an electronic application (CODA) and portfolio by November 1. Applicants are reviewed annually for admission for the fall semester.
The Fashion and Textile Design program requires a four-year enrollment regardless of the number of college credits completed at the time of entry. For this reason, interested students should contact the academic program office to discuss program details, student credentials, and the application process.
