We have developed an Appeal Resource Guide as a support for students working on appeals. This resource guide has been updated for the Spring 2023 semester.

Students who are ineligible to continue enrollment will have the opportunity to submit an appeal to continue enrollment for a subsequent term by the posted deadlines.

Note: Students who are not currently enrolled in a Fall or Spring term and wish to return must apply for readmission.

Undergraduate and AGI students who fail to meet the criteria for continuation as outlined under Academic Standing will be deemed ineligible to continue.

Students who are ineligible to continue will be notified via email once term grades have been posted, and will have the option to appeal to continue enrollment.

Appeal Process

Students are encouraged to submit an appeal to continue their enrollment at NC State.

The Appeal is used to appeal for both academic continuation AND reinstatement of financial aid eligibility. All students appealing for continuation of enrollment and/or financial aid eligibility will access and complete the same appeal.

To submit an appeal:

1. Log into MyPack Portal
2. Select your ‘Student Homepage’
3. Select the ‘Planning & Enrollment’ tile
4. From the left-hand navigation, select ‘Appeal’
5. Select the term for which you intend to continue enrollment and/or reinstate financial aid eligibility
6. Complete the appeal as directed*

*Appeal requirements may vary based on the individual student’s circumstances.

These dates are subject to change. Decisions may be returned prior to the final Notification Date. *Deadline for students appealing for continuation eligibility. Students appealing for financial aid eligibility only are encouraged to submit the appeal prior to the first day of class for the appeal term. International Students appealing for Fall eligibility should submit appeals by the Summer II deadline. **Summer Appeals: Students may only submit one appeal for Summer. Students who appeal by the Summer I deadline may enroll in any Summer term.
