After the Census Date, the following transactions must be completed on the same date or the system will NOT generate credits and may charge additional tuition and fees:

  • changing sections
  • dropping one class and adding a class of equal hours can be done on MyPack Portal through the Enrollment Wizard. Learn how to submit a schedule revision request by visiting our Schedule Revision Requests page
  • switching to a Co-op program

Additionally, dropping below 12 hours may impact an undergraduate’s eligibility for financial aid, housing and health insurance. Graduate students should confer with their advisor for course load requirements or restrictions.

Impact on Financial Aid

Students receiving funds awarded by the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid should talk to a Financial Aid Counselor or be aware of policies regarding change in status before reducing their hours to less than full-time status. A reduction in hours will likely result in an award adjustment and/or a required repayment of previously disbursed funds.

Official Withdrawal

Dropping all the courses for which you are registered after the start of the semester requires official withdrawal from the University. (See Refunds for Withdrawal.)
