About NC State’s Academic Calendar

The Registration and Records and Calendar Committee – a University Standing Committee – provides advice and recommendations to the University Registrar regarding the university calendar and other Registration and Records procedures.

Each year, the committee recommends to the Chancellor a new three-year academic calendar, which is published online. Any necessary updates are discussed by the committee, which then presents suggested changes to the University Registrar prior to submission to the Chancellor for approval.

When considering future calendars, the committee relies on several sources, including but not limited to feedback from the campus community, requests from student government and annual reading days surveys.

The committee strives to incorporate valid requests in its calendar decisions whenever possible, while also adhering to the university community’s calendar conventions and regulations set forth by the General Administration of the UNC System.

Google Calendar

1. Open Google Calendar.
2. On the left side, find “Other calendars” and click the down arrow.
3. Select Add by URL.
4. Enter the calendar’s address in the field provided. The address needs to be this ICAL link.
5. Click Add calendar. The calendar will appear on the left side under “Other calendars.”
