Find Your Advisor

Before you register for classes, you must schedule a meeting with your academic advisor to plan your upcoming semester schedule.

Coordinators of Advising

Each college or department has a coordinator of advising who is responsible for:

  • assigning, training and supervising faculty advisors.
  • providing up-to-date, printed course and curriculum information for advisors and students.
  • reassigning to another advisor any student who so requests.
  • assisting any student who wants to major in the coordinator’s area of study but is ineligible at the time to transfer into it.

Students who have made an effort to contact their faculty advisor but are unable to do so should consult with the appropriate advising coordinator. The advising coordinator should be able to assist advisees in obtaining (a) the information needed, (b) assistance in arranging a meeting with their advisor or (c) assignment to a new advisor. In the absence of the advising coordinator, consult the appropriate department head.

Find Your Advisor

Student can view their assigned advisor(s) by logging into MyPack Portal > Student Homepage > Planning & Enrollment tile > Advisors tab (left-hand navigation menu)

Note that some students may not have been assigned an advisor yet, and some programs such as certificates may not assign advisors at all. Contact your Coordinator of Advising if you have any questions about an advisor assignment.
